AWP Tool Rig
6 Weeks
Group: William Downs
Summary:
In this project, our task was to revitalize Hillman's AWP jobsite storage brand by designing a cutting-edge on-person tool carrying solution. Phase 1 consisted of immersive ethnographic research, employing techniques like interviews and observations to understand the dynamic relationship between construction workers and their tools. This deep dive allowed us to identify opportunities for functional enhancement. Armed with insights, we entered the ideation and development phase, generating innovative concepts and bringing them to life through sketches and models. Marvelous Designer played a pivotal role in our exploration and allowed me to develop new 3D fabric modeling techniques. Finally, we refined and communicated our final design through 3D models, renderings, sketches, and production drawings, breathing new life into the AWP brand.
